Description

We are a Danish couple who have realised our dream and settled down
in the Var, Provence, south eastern France, running a guest house
offering bed and breakfast, self catering and much more. Dating
from over 400 years ago, to us it is the epitome of southern France
culture. The house is situated in the medieval town of Lorgues,
located about an hour from Nice by road.

Maison du Midi, as it is called, has a beautiful, large, private
garden with palms, mature chestnut trees, several terraces, a
boules court, summer kitchen and a swimming pool. All rooms have
en suite 'shower rooms and some a small kitchen. The house has
three floors and a large rustic wine cellar suitable for
receptions, exhibitions, meetings and the like.

Road Description

Lorgues-en-Provence, located on a hillside, is a thousand year old
town with fountains, charming small squares and narrow picturesque
streets. There are about 10,000 permanent residents who enjoy life
at the small café's, restaurants and speciality shops. The whole
town is surrounded by mountains, olive groves and vineyards

The very large church in the middle of town, opposite Maison du
Midi, hosts many traditional gatherings and events such as concerts
and chorals.

Every tuesday Lorgues market attracts tourists and locals alike,
being the area's largest market, offering local, speciality food
stuff, plus a wide variety of clothing and practical goods, as well
as touristic items.
